iPad 2 Ultimate SleeveCase review

The thing about WaterField Designs is that they make the kind of bags you want to buy before you buy the devices to put in them. They’re sharp looking, they’re well-constructed, and they always do exactly what they claim to do. They also come in numerous designs for numerous devices. In this particular instance, I’m going to look at the Ultimat
I should discuss the options first, since you’ll immediately face those choices when you visit the sfbags.com website. The Ultimate SleeveCase is designed to comfortably fit the iPad, iPad 2 or iPad 2 with Smart Cover. Know which one you’re going to need, because the fit won’t be as good if you get the wrong one.
You can then select the trim (leather or indium, which I’ll discuss in a bit), the orientation (horizontal or vertical, of course) and your accessories. Orientation will determine whether the case opens on the thinner or wider edge, as well as where the D-rings for a strap will be placed. D-rings are $5 additional, and the strap comes in a standard version for $12 or a suspension strap for $22 (and yes, if you buy a strip, the D-rings are attached for free).
And finally, you can also add a piggyback mini pouch in leather trim for $27 or indium for $25. This pouch attaches to the D-rings to store additional items, such as a docking cable and power adaptere SleeveCase for iPad 2.
